Amazon Marketing - Sponsored Brand Videos

Several weeks ago I set in on a webinar presented by Amazon and tinuiti that covered an exciting new marketing ad campaign for Sponsored Brands (which requires you to have Brand Registry setup). They are called Sponsored Brand Videos and they appear "below the fold" on search results pages.

They recommend a 6 to 45 second video that can contain sound, but needs to be able to stand on its own without sound. The specs for the video are found in the setup screen. The webinar presenters recommended that like Product images, text needs to be a part of the video so even without sound you can convey the key features/benefits to those watching.

One success story example indicated that the ACOS for this was 28% lower than other Sponsored Brand Ads. So far they are seeing a 50% increase in conversion rate compared to other SPAs, resulting in a conversion rate similar to Sponsored Product Ads!

As we all know, the competition continues to grow on Amazon and we need to utilize all options to gain and keep market share. I highly recommend that you look at adding Sponsored Brand Videos to your marketing plan for Q4.
